“Ancestors” in the Cave of Clues include:

• well-accepted/core Melungeons
• Melungeon descendants (with their line noted)
• names of interest from Melungeon-specific resources
• individuals marked FPC, Mulatto, or Indian in core area census records
• other historical people who may have had ties to the Melungeons *
