MR/MHA members and Founding Members receive 3 FREE monthly lookups from specific titles in the Resource Center.

How does it work?

  1. Pick a term – surname, ancestor, people, place, etc. – from any resource page with a [Request lookup!] button. (e.g., “Batie Collins” in ‘Melungeons: Footprints from the Past’)
  2. Submit your lookup request by filling out the product fields on this page and checking out.
  3. I’ll send you a short excerpt (around 1 paragraph) from the resource that includes your chosen term within context, a page number, and a citation. You’ll be notified by email once your file is ready for download.

I’ll process these requests in the order they are received and won’t be able to provide additional information beyond the excerpt. There are currently ten Melungeon-specific titles marked as “lookup available,” and you’ll see many more added in the coming weeks.
